How to photograph your 3D artwork
When you are finishing up your project you will need to photograph it in a professional way for critique. Below is a great video about how to set up a shot. Couple things to keep in mind, you do not need a tripod just try to be as steady as possible. Take your photo looking straight on your piece and try to get a couple of views. Natural light works the best, flash photography doesn't do your artwork justice. And for the background, use something neutral black, grey or white for your background.
Paper Mache mixing
Here is a quick video on mixing flour and water to make paper mache paste. It is an easy quick way to create a sculpture with just paper household items

Artist of the day
Here is one of my favorite sculptors, Kate Mccgwire. She works with feathers to create these beautiful coiling pieces. The video below is a conversation with her about her process and why she works with feathers.
Artist of the day
Check out this article about artist, Kathleen Ryan. She makes massive decayed fruit from gemstones.
